About the event
This class is a great way for young people to learn how to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives, encouraging them to feel more connected to themselves and the world around them.
During the classes you will explore guided meditation, yoga movement, creative activities, nature connection and connection with others. Classes are taught with a heart led approach, in a safe space with a kind and supportive group of young people.
The classes have a strong focus on nature and how we can learn more about ourselves from the natural world and the changing cycles. Often the class will meet outdoors for classes, learning to notice the beauty of our environment and to slow down to the pace of nature. In the cooler months, we will meet indoors at The Unitarian Church and each week will follow a different theme, centred around self care practices and creative mindfulness.
Benefits of mindfulness:
- Increased feelings of peace
- Increased resilience and confidence
- Improved creativity and imagination
- Improved overall health mentally and physically
