My Heart is the Forest - Family Forest Bathing

Join me for a playful and heartfelt Forest Bathing walk among the trees at Macclesfield Forest!

You will be guided mindfully through the forest, noticing all of your senses and taking part in nature connection activities, games and mindfulness. Each activity is an invitation to explore your surroundings curiously and to rest and connect with the forest, feeling fully in the present moment...moving or still!

Forest Bathing is an ancient wellness practice originating in Japan in the 1980's. The Japanese use the name 'Shinrin - Yoku', which literally means to bathe among the trees...no swimming costumes are needed though!

Originally offered as a natural remedy for stress-related symptoms and illnesses, forest bathing enhances wellness through the mindful and positive effects that a natural environment has on our health.

We are living in a fast paced society, with busy schedules and much to organise and respond to. This session is an invitation to take time to slow down to the pace of nature, re-connect with your heart and your body and play together in nature!

Benefits of Forest Bathing:

- Studies show that tree essential oils (phytoncides) boost your immune system,  improve anxiety, improve sleep, emotion regulation overall health.

- Nature connection can help slow down your thoughts and mindfully focus on things that give you joy and pleasure.

- Supports self-compassion & acceptance 

This is a special  practice and I'm grateful to be able to share it with you and your child, giving you time to connect with each other and enjoy the magic of the present moment.
